Some time after the University Medical Centre Utrecht (UMC Utrecht) experienced a major media crisis after a medical trial ending negatively, another medical trial at the hospital was halted because of unexpectedly negative outcomes for patients.

We helped the hospital prepare for press coverage by setting out a media and communication strategy, drafting a transparent and nuanced press release, working with and training key experts and coordinating key media contacts.

As planned, the media attention ended up being factually correct, nuanced and proportional to the issues at hand.
