At the request of various faculties and departments of the University of Copenhagen (KU) we assisted in the creation of a proposal for a new interdisciplinary research initiative.
Dubbed ‘The Future of Meat Initiative’, the program aimed to establish an interdisciplinary research platform at
the University of Copenhagen to address multiple challenges surrounding meat production and consumption, e.g. the development of healthier, safer, better traceable and more ethically responsible meat products combined with increased global competition and trade.
Our work included organizing a multidisciplinary workshop in Copenhagen to collect opinions and research ideas, and bringing those ideas together into one comprehensive proposal supported by 6 of the university’s faculties.
